I teach English to adults who aspire to:

            1. Gain confidence in your communication with English speakers
            2. Advance in your careers
            3. Expand your horizons in travel, literary and oral arts, and friendships

 


The atmosphere of my lessons is relaxed, comfortable, and professional. You will do at least 70% of the talking. You’ll gain confidence from our lessons, and this will encourage you to practice your English in public without fear.

Most lessons will include the following components:
  1. “Small talk:” A social conversation about, for example, your recent weekend activities.
  2. Review of our previous lesson.
  3. Accent reduction and pronunciation practice: Reading aloud from a short text.
  4. Main activity: We'll use a text, video, or audio sample as the vehicle to learn the new and reinforce the old.
  5. Closing: Review the day's lesson and plan for the next lesson.
